Carol Krumwiede
Trapper Education Grant
In memory of the 2018 passing of Carol Krumwiede, the Fur Takers of America has implemented an education grant designed to help chapters and affiliates promote the trapping industry.
An educator herself for over 27 years, Carol was an instrumental part of the FTA, where she served with her husband, Louie, for over 40 years.
Collectively, she served as FTA Secretary and then Treasurer for over 15 years. She received the FTA Distinguished and Meritorious Service Awards four times and was inducted into the FTA Hall of Fame in 2012. At the time of her death, she was wrapping up her work writing a column in the FTA magazine summarizing the organization's 50 year history.
Grant applications are accepted throughout the year and available to all chapters and affiliates.
